What you will do in your working day

The Hairdressing apprentice will carry out some of the following duties when starting their hairdressing apprenticeship.

  • Supporting the client journey experience
  • Shampooing
  • Supporting stylista
  • Blow drying
  • General housekeeping
  • Attend training for practical
  • Theory sessions to work towards their on-line tests
  • Support with front of house greeting clients

The training you will be getting

Training will be one day a week, undertaken by the salon and Wow Hair Academy, an assessor will deliver training in practical and theory for the following units in the qualification.

  • Client consultation
  • Shampoo condition and treat the hair
  • Style and finish
  • Colouring hair
  • Cutting hair
  • One optional unit to choose
  • EPA (end point assessment)
  • FS in English and Maths L1 progression to L2 (if required)

Upon completion of the above you will gain your qualification L2 Diploma in Hairdressing Standards
