What you will do in your working day

Duties will include:

  • Preparation, installation, and handover of complex    technologically advanced machinery
  • Diagnosis and repair of complex faults in machinery
  • Conducting complex repairs of machinery
  • Compilation of repair proposals estimates and quotations.

Practical and Theory completed both @ College and the Majority in the workplace.

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Land-based Service Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Block release at Riseholme College
End-Point Assessment (EPA)
Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
Training will be provided mostly in the workplace with an assessor coming to visit on a regular basis to do work-based reviews, assessments, and observations

Things to consider

Weekend work is required. The vacancy is based in a rural area and public transport links are minimal. You will need to ensure that you can access the employer and training provider in line with the hours of work If you are short listed for this vacancy you may need to attend more than one interview The role will involve working indoors and outdoors/in all weathers/standing for long periods/heat/cold/heights/driving/using heavy equipment/lifting etc.
