    £15,000.00

    Salary included above is for the 1st 12 months whilst in programme. After month 12, this programmes salary increases. If you are aged 21 or over on your first anniversary, your salary will increase in line with national minimum wage.

    Monday to Friday, with flexibility. Exact shifts to be confirmed.

What you will do in your working day

  • Product sampling and testing​
  • Undertaking basic maintenance and product inspections ​to make sure quality standards are being met​
  • Record keeping and tracking data​
  • Helping to keep the working environment maintained and safe, maintaining our high site standards​
  • Investigating customer complaints with management ​ 

The training you will be getting

  • The apprentice will gain a Level 2 qualification in Mineral and Construction Product Sampling and Testing
  • Training will take place in block periods, with this being delivered at the Tarmac National Skills and Safety Park, based at Tarmac Way, Nether Langwith NG20 9JF
  • The location is a purpose-built facility where all operational staff complete learning, developing the right skills and capabilities to safely complete their roles

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, successful candidates will move into permanent Technician position.  
The technician works as part of the Ready-mix business working across a variety of concrete plants within the South East ensuring products are to the highest standards for our contracts.

Things to consider

This role will involve working outside, during all seasons of the calendar. It's a role where you'll work in different locations and support a number of sites. This is a physical role. Age: 18 due to licence to operate plant and equipment. Driving License: Required by 31 August 2024 based on being able to travel to various locations.
