What you will do in your working day

Apprentice Engineer - Mechatronics:

  • In the first two years, whilst gaining your apprenticeship qualifications, we will be looking at the areas that you may excel in
  • You will learn all about our equipment with training given here on site and also at our HQ in Italy. A second lanuage in French or Italian would be useful
  • We are seeking someone who can understand the technicalities and processes of our equipment which will stand them a good stead in any area of our business in either sales or the service side of the company

The training you will be getting

Formal training is delivered at HWGTA / HWGTA located in Worcester (WR4 9GN):

Level 3 comprises of:

Duration approximately 40 - 45 months.

Year 1 includes 26 - 42 weeks off the job training to cover practical and theory aspects.

Year 2 would include 1 day per week to complete EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge.

Years 2,3 and 4 will be based in company developing skills in preparation for the end point assessment to gain your Engineering Technician qualification.

You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment.

Additional training for functional skills in English and Maths will be undertaken if needed.

There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in the spring of each year offered to all apprentices on programme.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

It all depends on you! There are opportunities in sales, service, software and technical support.

The role is UK based but for the right candidate who excels in the role, there could be opportunities within the Piovan Group to work around the world.

Things to consider

Travelling to Bromsgrove and Worcester Training Centre. Ideally someone with their own transport. This position could close early.
