What you will do in your working day

As a Engineering Design & Draughtsperson apprentice, you will work on local and national projects with a team of experts.

Your tasks could include:

  • Work with project leads processing information for existing plans, producing data sheets, data collection and analysis.
  • Learn new skills using specialist software such as, AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Supporting with reports and information for our clients.

The training you will be getting

  •  You will attend College to study Engineering Design and Draughtsperson advanced apprenticeship and gain a level 3 qualification, as well as completing your End Point Assessment.  
  • Bespoke internal development programme to help you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully achieve your apprenticeship, and support your career in Engineering Design and Draughtsperson.
  • You will have the support of your team, line manager, mentor and buddy as well as a dedicated early careers team.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • You will gain a Engineering Design and Draughtsperson advanced apprenticeship with a level 3 qualification as well as completing your End Point Assessment.
  • As this is a permanent position, after gaining your qualification, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us.
  • You will have the opportunity to continue professional development, as well as the opportunity to pursue your further study and training goals.
