What you will do in your working day

Tasks expected from our apprentices are the following:

  • Running intervention programmes, including those that focus on fine or gross motor skills
  • Supporting small groups and individuals in the teaching environment, for instance the least active or more able pupils, allowing more children to be engaged in PE
  • Setting up activities, clearing away resources and looking after all sports equipment
  • Developing and assisting with the provision of lunchtime and after school sports clubs
  • When ready (determined by Move More and School Staff), taking on more whole class delivery across the school.

  • Community Sport and Health Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Internal training relevant to the responsibilities of the role

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Move More have had several former apprentices join the coaching team in various roles following on the successful completion of their apprenticeship
