What you will do in your working day

The candidate can expect to undertake the following in day to day life at FGP: 

  • Assisting surveyors and directors in the day to day running of the business 
  • Attending progress meetings with clients and contractors 
  • Assist surveyors in meetings with landowners and their agents to negotiate legal agreements
  • Inspect proposed routes for cables and pipelines 
  • Undertake land searches for solar farms and battery storage sites 

The training you will be getting

  • At the end of the apprenticeship the candidate will receive a BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land Management and achieve MRICS on the Rural Pathway Route

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Once qualified the candidate would take on the management of projects they had worked on, tender for their own work, and progress through seniority levels within the company

Things to consider

Candidates should review the RICS Rural Pathway and attend the Land and Property Management experience day at Harper Adams University on the 14th of February 2024 or the Open Day on 9th March 2024.
