What you will do in your working day

Logistics is more than getting the product from A to B. At DHL Supply Chain we combine management and value-added services with our customised, integrated logistics solutions which drive resilience, and efficiency, improve quality, and create competitive advantage. Our Data Teams assist the operational and Functional Teams in creating meaningful data which allows informed decisions to be made to ensure we are operating with financial and KPI agreed terms.

Working within our Manufacturing Logistics and automotive site, you will work with a passionate team focusing on the below and many more.

  • Contact delivery sites to understand the requirements for each delivery
  • Engage with customer teams, 3rd party haulers, and also the customer's suppliers
  • Support the Management team in executing an integrated transport solution
  • Pre-advise the management team of any potential failures in the Transport Operation
  • Schedule work using the current Transport Management System

The training you will be getting

As part of the Transport Planning (Supply Chain Practitioner) Level 3 Apprenticeship, they will complete the learning online through SR Apprenticeships and on-site learning at their dedicated DHL Supply Chain site.

  • We want Apprentices to build their careers, with the option to complete a further Apprenticeship after completing the Inventory Management (Supply Chain practitioner) Level 3
