What you will do in your working day

  • Use arboricultural tools and machinery
  • Learn how to become environmentally aware at work

  • Arborist Level 2 Appenticeship Standard
  • Training provided by Merrist Wood College, Surrey
  • Delivery is day release in college term time

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Full time employment as a arborist in a public or botanic garden
  • Full time employment with or as tree surgeon contractor
  • Entry for another qualification in the arboricultural sector

Things to consider

Please note: you will be expected to work outside in all weathers either hot or cold and wet. We provide full uniform and personal protective equipment such as boots, waterproofs, tools etc.
