What you will do in your working day

As a Marketing Apprentice you will join the Sales and Commercial Team and compelte duties such as:

Digital Marketing:

  • Create posts for social media platforms using scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, canva and Adobe
  • Create awareness of Silver X brand by researching trending posts and topics to share on social media channels
  • Create graphics for use on web & socials using software such as PhotoShop and Canva
  • Create e-mail marketing campaigns, track analytics and follow up
  • Write blogs and articles for use on company website to support SEO efforts
  • Support clients by following their accounts, engaging with their content, and sharing posts
  • Search potential customer profiles and understand any pain points with current provider
  • Assist with customer acquisition by interacting via social media messaging
  • Collect positive testimonials and design posts to publish
  • Update social media profiles and website content


  • Track lost clients daily and check reasons why clients left
  • Keep track of non-converting customers and add to marketing flow list
  • Market our services to both existing clients and external prospects through email and phone
  • Generate rapport and build relationships with prospects


  • Research relevant conferences/events and arrange tickets for managers
  • Promote events we are attending on social media to gain interaction with followers’

The training you will be getting

  • The marketing Face to face training sessions will be delivered from the state-of-the-art EMA training hub on Siddals Road, central Derby

The 3 core knowledge units are as follows:

  • Fundementals of Marketing
  • Content Marketing
  • Marketing Campaign Fundamentals

Further support will be provided to you through your Digital Coach/Mentor via onsite visits and remote communication.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Opportunity to progress into a full time employee position after completion of apprenticeship course
