What you will do in your working day

In Weapon Systems UK we have Project management roles in many areas of our business whether it is supporting the global sustainment of our products, developing our future footprint strategy, or driving the delivery of our research and technology programmes. Projects don't come more challenging and critical than ours.

Our placements are designed so that you are fully immersed into a role to gain PM competencies and on the job experiences, helping you to grow and develop professionally. During the Project Management Degree Apprenticeship you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of different projects by gathering information about time, cost and quality constraints, identifying and analysing data trends and driving actions to their conclusion. 

You will maintain, update and report on key project data, identify any potential issues and help to identify and reduce risks as the project progresses and help make effective decisions to move the project along.

Throughout the scheme you will have the opportunity to work across different stages of the project lifecycle to develop your skills and gain invaluable experience. 

On this scheme you will be provided with challenging placements whilst being supported to make the role your own, and seize the endless opportunities for business, personal and professional growth.

The training you will be getting

Project Manageement Integrated Degree Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Apprentices will achieve either a BA or BSc Honours degree in Project Management.
  • Apprentices are required to achieve an International Project Management Association (IPMA) Level D qualification or equivalent, prior to taking the end point assessment.

Alongside on the job experience, you will receive a full BA Hons in Project Management, and gain a Professional Qualification accredited by the Association of Project Management (APM).
