What you will do in your working day

  • Be a first point of contact for students/pupils requiring help/support and referring them to other appropriate staff in school
  • Undertake routine clerical activities/duties, eg Photocopying, filing, email, completing forms, ensure supply of and maintain stationery and office supplies
  • Receive and record money on behalf of the school (eg. trips, voluntary contributions) as instructed by the School Business Manager
  • Maintain pupil and staff data, update, retrieve information and collate reports
  • Maintain staff data records on management information systems Complete absence returns
  • Take confidential minutes of meetings
  • Under the direction of the School Business Manager, provide business support to the ICT and Estates functions

The training you will be getting

  • You will be working towards a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship
  • You may also be working towards L2 maths and English Functional skills, if not already exempt
  • Blended on/off the job training and location to be confirmed

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

We hope that the successful candidate will be offered a full-time position within our school. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
