What you will do in your working day
The successful candidate will be a key part of the office team. They will work with the existing school management software (SchoolComms, ScholarPack and Office365). provide day-to-day clerical and administrative support. Duties will include answering the telephone, sending out communications, record management, and more. Other tasks include:
- Carry out day-to-day tasks such as answering phones, dealing with parents/carers, welcoming visitors
- Support with attendance
- Sending communications to parents/carers
- Organisation of visitors to the site including room bookings
- Managing orders/deliveries
- Management of pupil records
- Inputting data
- Publishing information on the school’s website, eg weekly newsletter, school menu, term dates, sending emails
- In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with the School Business Manager on:
- Budget monitoring
- Invoicing
- Seeking the best value for products and services
- Supporting the management of afterschool clubs and wrap-around care
- Building clubs on SchoolComms and ensuring all parental consents are received and correct
- Creating contact groups on SchoolComms
The training you will be getting
- You will study a Level 3 in Business Administration, and all training will occur in the workplace
- You will meet with your tutor virtually every 4 to 6 weeks, and you will be expected to record off-the-job training weekly

- The administration role may be a gateway to further career opportunities depending on the position of the school at that time; such as a permanent role or more senior position
