What you will do in your working day

  • The successful candidate will be part of a busy sales office at a steel stockholding warehouse and will involve a variety of activities
  • The candidate will be expected to take and deal with sales enquiries from customers via telephone calls and emails in a professional manner
  • Training will be provided so that you become familiar with the variety of steel products that we sell, as well as how to calculate costs, selling prices and sales margins
  • Quoting and processing orders will involve using a cloud-based stock inventory system. Part of quoting will also involve liaising with suppliers to procure costs and availability
  • During the apprenticeship you will become an integral part of the sales team and will generate profit that the company and all its employees will benefit from

If you would like your bars cut to length then we have an automatic band saw on site that can cut up to 360mm diameter.
