What you will do in your working day
At the heart of your learning experience is our state-of-the-art design office, where your day-to-day activities will cover a range of tasks including:
- Assisting in producing scoping calculations and providing vital support in analysis
- Creating intricate models and detailed drawings
- Crafting design-based documentation and client-centric technical reports.
You’ll also experience the breadth of our operations through exciting placements across various business sectors.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you'll be ready to make an impact in the world of electrical design, equipped with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
The training you will be getting
You’ll receive practical and theoretical training, combined with company-specific training given in the workplace.
At Lakes College, you'll work towards the Level 5 Nuclear Technician Apprenticeship. This blend of classroom learning and on-the-job training will make sure you're well-prepared for a career as an Electrical Designer.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will move into a substantive position within the business.
