What you will do in your working day
- Support to the Project Controls team with data and information to enable reporting and decision making, including highlighting inconsistencies in the data/information and recommending suitable actions
- Support the following project controls activities within the project controls team; planning, scheduling, document control and other project control related activities
- Working closely with Project Managers and project teams to monitor project finances, milestones, debtors, invoicing and cash collection
- Support Project Controls improvement activity, and sharing knowledge skills and best practice
- Work closely with Project Managers to support in developing and maintaining detailed resource loaded schedules of projects
- Support the team in identifying major milestones, decision points, project life-cycle and other project events
- Support with troubleshooting and monitor potential scheduling problems
- Report on trends, forecasts, project contingency, and schedule risks and opportunities
The training you will be getting
- On completion the apprentice will be eligible to apply for membership of the Association of Cost Engineers (ACostE) as a Graduate Member, and will also be eligible to apply for registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech), subject to having suitable engineering experience and undergoing a professional review process
- The success canddiate will achieve the Level 3 Project Controls Technician Apprenticeship
