What you will do in your working day
- Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the nurseries policy and procedures
- Assist in organising and managing teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment, inside and outside
- Observe pupil performance and pass observations on to the class teacher
- Use ICT skills to advance pupils’ learning
- Actively encourage the development of pupils’ independence
- Supervise pupils on visits/trips and out of nursery activities
- Undertake any other relevant duties given by the class teacher
- Make and assist with the preparation of materials and equipment for pupils
- Attend to pupil’s personal needs including help with social welfare and health matters, including minor first aid

- Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End Point Assessment (EPA)
All learners will complete Prevent, Equality and Diversity, Mental Health, Nutrition and Hydration and Safeguarding children training (Online) to be completed at the start of their qualification (BV).
