What you will do in your working day

  • Under the teachers clear guidance the successful apprentice will support the educational, personal and social development of pupils in the class including those with special and/or bilingual needs
  • Ensuring pupils remain on task
  • Complete structured learning activities
  • Report pupil progress to the teacher

The training you will be getting

  • Comprehensive training programme from induction to completion both on and off the job as well as full apprenticeship support through Nelson and Colne College

The skills, knowledge & experience to confidently support learners to achieve their goals. Training in a large school gives the apprentice extensive experience across a variety of learners & their associated challenges, upon completion they can have confidence in their abilities & apply for TA vacancies in school or another educational setting backed by the Nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
