What you will do in your working day

  • Provide guidance and advice specific to staff on the most effective use of IT systems
  • Contribute to the development, review, and revision of IT training materials, as well as assist with training and helping users when required
  • Assist in ensuring the Team's services are responsive to community needs and that equal opportunity and health and safety issues are identified and addressed effectively
  • Make effective and accessible communication with staff and service users as appropriate
  • Apply technical standards, processes, and policies in the supporting of council users
  • All IT staff are expected to be flexible in their approach to meeting the needs of the IT Service in delivering to the Council and its customers
  • Impart technical information clearly and succinctly to a non-technical audience
  • Ensure that day to day activity is focused on service priorities adhering to Council and policies and procedures including technical processes and procedures 
    Contribute to co-operative working across services in accordance with the Council's Vision and Values and One Council behaviours
