What you will do in your working day

  • Provide pastoral support to pupils within the school environment
  • Provide structured support in accordance with specific work programmes designed and supervised by individual teachers

  • Supervise pupils for a particular curriculum activity under the supervision and guidance of a qualified teacher
  • Assist the teacher in monitoring pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed
  • To provide support in literacy/numeracy/SEN strategies
  • Support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop pupils’ competence and independence in its use
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, evaluation and implementation

Things to consider

Throughout the apprenticeship process i.e. teaching, learning and assessment, you will be fully prepared to complete an End Point Assessment where you will be assessed through a combination of testing in controlled conditions, evidence produced in the workplace and recorded interview, therefore comprehensively examining the work you have completed. The Apprenticeship start date is flexible therefore applications are welcomed from those aiming to complete Full Time education this summer. Interviews will be on-going, and the vacancy will be withdrawn early if a suitable candidate is appointed. Please therefore complete your application as soon as possible.
