What you will do in your working day

  • Installation of wiring and electrical equipment and cable management systems
  • Inspecting and testing of electrical installations
  • Diagnosing and rectify faults on a range of circuits and equipment

  • On-the-job training alongside attendance at a local college in line with course requirements

Things to consider

Knowledge and skills are important, and training is demanding. Tasks may involve heavy lifting, working outside and working at height. Candidates need to have practical skills to work with hand and power tools and an ability to follow technical drawings and instructions. A commitment to own H&S and that of colleagues and clients is essential.
