About the employer

Marcegaglia UK LTD was established in 1996 and it is devoted to the manufacturing of electro-welded carbon steel tubes for a wide range of applications. Today it is the largest precision tube manufacturer in Great Britain. There are 2 production plants within the UK. Dudley has an overall surface of 28,000 sqm (11,498 sqm of which covered) with five tube production lines. We are currently investing £32million into the business. This includes acquiring our second site, Oldbury. This investment is the start of a new venture of manufacturing stainless steel. Oldbury has an overall surface area of 83,000 sqm with 6 carbon tube and 3 stainless steel production lines. The production lines are equipped to offer a wide range of specific tube finishes. Tubes are non-destructive eddy current tested inline to prevent weld seam defects. Additionally, destructive testing includes tensile, flare and flattening. We have a yearly output of approx. 100,000 tonnes, with this expected to go up following the investment.
