What you will do in your working day
Roles and responsibilities may change from time to time based on business requirements. The role may also incorporate some general duties not specified and you will be requested to provide support where applicable for other departments during staff absences or busy periods.
- To complete and update all business & job production systems and records
- To ensure all work undertaken for OBP is quality controlled and QC records are kept and updated
- To ensure general business and work areas inside and out are always kept clean and tidy
- To be fully conversant with all health and safety procedures and to implement and comply with them, reporting any non-conformance through the agreed channels
- To ensure that the company’s resources are used cost effectively on all projects and that waste is identified and solutions advised
- Whilst in the field and working onsite, to act as a responsible and professional ambassador for OBP and always protect the OBP brand & reputation in all activities
The training you will be getting
The successful candidate will work towards a lean manufacturing level 2 qualification.
- EAL Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills) 603/3589/0
- ETCAL Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills) 603/5151/2
- Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills) 603/4344/8
- OAL Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (Knowledge and Skills) Ofqual number: 603/6783/0
- City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills) 610/0180/6
- No other qualification can be completed within this standard
Apprentices without level 1 (or equivalent) in English and maths must ensure that apprentices achieve level 1 and take the test for level 2 prior to taking the end-point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement the apprenticeships English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language qualification are an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language.
