What you will do in your working day

This is a varied role working alongside Managers, Supervisors and other Site Administrators in one of the UK's leading construction contractors, learning all aspects of Business Administration within the construction industry. You will be working in a variety of sectors including Office Management, Skills Coordination and PA, Health & Safety, Document Control and Accounts.

Duties will include:

  • Receiving & booking in site visitors
  • Typing and word processing various documents and dealing with emails and electronic information
  • Managing, organising and updating relevant data using the relevant applications
  • Arranging and where necessary participating in meetings,
    conferences and project team activities
  • Creating presentations
  • Retrieving data for project team
  • General office duties such as filing, printing and photocopying.
  • Processing invoices
  • Receiving and collating information generated through each department
  • Reception and telephone duties
  • Overseeing and administering site deliveries

The training you will be getting

  • Training will be delivered by means of regular online sessions.
  • Successful completion of the apprenticeship will result in a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be the opportunity to move into full-time employment.

Things to consider

Offer of Apprenticeship will be subject to successfully passing a Drugs & Alcohol test. The site is rural & remote with no public transport, so the apprentice will need their own transport and be able to travel to site independently.

About the employer

Training & Apprenticeships in Construction Ltd (TrAC) is a DfE approved Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agency who will employ you for the duration of the apprenticeship and pay your salary. You should be aware that you will be placed with a host employer but you will not be employed by them. Your placement may change during the course of your apprenticeship but TrAC will employ you throughout, as well as continuing to support you into employment or further learning at the end of your apprenticeship.
