What you will do in your working day

  • Filling a wide range of lubricants into pack sizes from 1 litre to 205 litre barrels
  • Preparing packaging prior to filling, including labelling and batch control
  • Unloading vehicles and inspecting goods in before locating within the site in readiness for production
  • Picking, packing and dispatching of finished products
  • Stock taking and batch control within the warehouse
  • Use of bespoke IT system to control stock movements
  • Working to tight deadlines daily
  • Maintaining a safe, tidy environment by managing waste packaging and other materials correctly

The training you will be getting

  • You will work towards the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative standard with Gateshead College

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Possible progression to advanced apprenticeship/ full time employment following successful completion of the apprenticeship
