What you will do in your working day

Data Science is one of the most exciting fields of study today! A Data Science apprentice in Unilever will learn how to derive maximum value from data, whether this is knowledge, information or insights hidden data that Unilever generates, or in the combination of diverse internal and external data sets to address complex problems. Along the way you will develop skills in computer science, statistics, data analysis, AI and machine learning and you will practice behaviours that will ensure that you contribute effectively to Unilever’s and your success. Duties could include:

  • Data preparation & acquisition (cleaning datasets and joining datasets for visualisation)
  • Data reporting & visualisation (e.g. developing & maintaining a Power BI dashboard)
  • Machine learning & predictive modelling

The training you will be getting

As an apprentice, you’ll receive on-the-job training and experience in an administrative position along with formal training to gain the knowledge and skills you’ll need to support our business operations. You’ll join a team with a dedicated line manager committed to enhancing your career experiences. You will receive a Degree in Data Science upon completion of this apprenticeship.
