What you will do in your working day
The apprentice will be working towards becoming a fully qualified Workshop Technician, learning the following tasks:-
- Mechanical work
- Electrical work
- Vehicle Suspension
- Vehicle Brakes
- Vehicle Transmission
- Diagnostics
- Working on Engines
- All Vehicle Problem Solving
- Working on Cars, Light Commercial Vehicles, Motorbikes including Petrol, Diesel, Hybrid and Electric.
The training you will be getting
Apprentices will be working towards the Motor vehicle service and maintenance technician - light vehicle Level 3 Standard which includes;
- A certificate that meets the EU’s 2014 F-gas regulation.
- Block release training to SMB Group - Brooksby Campus
- A mixture of On the Job Training and Off the Job Training
- Functional Skills English and maths level 2, if Necessary.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
This could lead to a full-time position at the company after completion of the apprenticeship.
