What you will do in your working day

The role of the account's assistant is to ensure accurate records are kept and maintained daily, posting invoices, filing, taking telephone messages and any other duties as needed.

Your duties will include: 

  • Posting Sales Invoices
  • Posting Purchase Ledger Invoices 
  • Posting Customer Receipts.
  • General administrative duties 
  • Answering phone calls 
  • Filing 
  • Any other duties needed in line with the role 

The training you will be getting

  • Accounts or Finance Assistant level 2 apprenticeship standard
  • Weekly half-day virtual learning
  • Weekly off the job training
  • Functional skills if required

Apprentices will be required to take one of the professional qualifications listed below, as chosen by the employer to be most relevant to the job role:

AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
ACCA Certificate in financial and management accounting (level 2)
IAB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping
ICB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping
