The Apprenticeship Officer will undertake daily activities communicating with both employers and apprentices to facilitate apprentice’s regular attendance and punctuality at College. You will also liaise closely with college tutors, and assessors, to set agreed targets and actions for improved attendance and / or punctuality.

What you will do in your working day

Duties and Responsibilities

The persons appointed will be required to work flexibly within a team environment and will be allocated a range of duties and responsibilities. The post holders will work closely with Directorate and other College staff and will be allocated a range of duties. The duties allocated may be varied or changed by the line manager dependent on the needs of the service.




  • Contact employers and apprentices daily by text, email and phone to report non attendance
  • Work with the apprenticeship team to find solutions for issues preventing regular attendance
  • Manage all process and administration requirements in accordance with contract requirements in support of apprentices
  • To provide administrative support to the apprenticeship team
  • In collaboration with the Senior Apprenticeship Officer support with all apprenticeship tracking and reporting to employers
  • In collaboration with the Senior Apprenticeship Officer answer and respond to all enquires related to apprentice progress and attendance in
  • Supporting with administration linked to Smart Assessor, the CRM, and other systems, to support management information
  • Arrange meetings and take minutes
