What you will do in your working day

  • Software Development: Develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements
  • Bug Fixing: Identify and resolve software defects and issues, including investigating root causes and implementing solutions
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, code comments, and user guides
  • Coding: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using a variety of programming languages and technologies
  • System Design: Collaborate with team members to design software architecture and data structures that are scalable and reliable
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance for project planning and execution
  • Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in software development processes
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize software performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements
  • Security: Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and maintain the security of software applications

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
