What you will do in your working day

Scott Bader are a global manufacturer of adhesives, composites and functional polymers and they are looking for two engineering apprentices to join the team.

You need to be passionate about engineering, keen to learn, motivated to achieve success and want to join a global organisation and be part of the next generation of engineers to start your career.

During the programme, you will learn to inspect, maintain, service and repair all types of plant machinery.

This will include:

  • You will assist the maintenance team operatives with planned, reactive and continuous improvement maintenance tasks to provide safe, efficient and robust manufacturing operation
  • As well as this you will undertake physical activities such as breaking or making pipe joints, disassembly or re-assembly of pumps, installation and testing of process instruments control systems
  • You will be involved with the installation and making of power cables and electrical components, fabrication of pipe supports and other metalwork
  • As well as housekeeping and segregation and disposal of waste following engineering activities
