What you will do in your working day

Key activity in the role will include:

  • Applying the tools, techniques, benchmarks, and measurements used to plan and lead Major Projects Developing the project controls strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both bp and contractor roles and responsibilities
  • Analysing and forecasting project data and information that drive project performance
  • Building relationships both within bp and with our external partners, collaborating across functions, businesses and teams to deliver meaningful work
  • Working closely with our major engineering and construction contractors to review and analyse their data including time spent on construction sites in Teesside

The training you will be getting

  • The project controls apprenticeship will lead to a Level 6 qualification and a BSc (Hons) Degree
  • 20% of your time will be protected for formal learning, which will be delivered in a combination of in person classroom/virtual classroom and guided learning
  • In person learning will be in blocks rather than individual days

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • There may be an opportunity to apply for a permanent position with BP
  • Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship

Things to consider

These roles will be based at the Sunbury or Teesside bp offices with potentially some time spent in contractor's offices, located in the southeast of England or close to Teesside. You must be available to relocate to an alternative location at a later date.
