Mechanical Engineering Apprentice HOPWOOD GEAR LTD
This is an Apprentice role, we have over 100 machines on site and full training will be given on how to operate each one. Training will be given in all aspects of the job working alongside qualified and experienced members of staff. Role will include Gear Box repair and refurbishment, precision engineering, and taking on new engineering tasks.

What you will do in your working day
Main Duties to Include:
- Lathes
- Milling machines
- Gear cutting equipment to name a few
- To take on new engineering tasks under the supervision of senior staff
- CNC Machining throughout our facility using the latest CAM software
- Gear Cutting and Gear Grinding to Din 4
- Gear Box repair and refurbishment
- Precision Engineering
The training you will be getting
- Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- Apprenticeship learning will take place in the workplace and the candidate will be expected to attend the Rochdale Training centre in Rochdale
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Once qualified, progression is offered to the correct candidate, this could include a full-time position
