What you will do in your working day

Daily duties will include:

  • Supporting the EYFS Lead/Class Teacher
  • Lead small groups under guidance and supervision
  • Ensure the health and wellbeing needs of the children are being met
  • Provide the very best childcare to every child every day
  • Breaktime and lunchtime duties
  • Interventions with small groups guided by the class teacher
  • Working co-operatively with colleagues and other professionals

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard.

You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor.

You will be required to attend Cornwall College Camborne on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there may be an opportunity to progress to a permanent position and further development.
