What you will do in your working day

  • All types of signage – Acrylic, ACM, Illuminated Lettering etc
  • Sign Fitting & Installation - Fitting of various signs internally and
    externally
  • Vinyl application to various substrates, including contour cut
    vinyl and vehicle wraps
  • Using state of the art UV Canon printers for both vinyl printing
    and flatbed printing
  • Operating CNC Router Machine to cut various materials for
    Signage production

The training you will be getting

  • Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 3 Signage Technician Standard, plus any relevant Maths and English functional skills (if needed)
  • Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by Signstech and Walsall College. You will be assigned a training coordinator
  • Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit both your own and business needs. Most training and studying will be site-based
  • You should be comfortable with planning your workload as you progress through the apprenticeship

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • We aim to offer you a full-time post on completion of the apprenticeship
