What you will do in your working day
• Book-keeping
• Knowledge of Proclaim Accounts System
• Posting payments and receipts to client ledgers
• Checking completion statements
• Bill processing
• Bank reconciliations
• Preparing and sending debtor letters
• Scanning and storing financial documents
• Taking card payments over the telephone
• Gain knowledge of Solicitors Accounting Rules
• Deal with regular queries regarding client ledgers
The training you will be getting
Northern Skills are the apprenticeship training arm of Middlesbrough college, and have classes based around the northeast.
Day release in at Sunderland site (The Place, Athenaeum Street, Sunniside, Sunderland, SR1 1QX).
On and off-the-job training.
You will be working towards your Level 2 Accounts Assistant qualification.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Depending on the circumstances of the business upon completion of the apprenticeship programme there could be a potential position of employment available.
