What you will do in your working day
High House Nursery (part of Bright Stars Nursery Group) believe that every child they care for deserves a calm, caring, safe and stimulating environment in which to learn.
They are looking for a motivated early years apprentice to work in a nursery with children up to 5 years old, supporting setting up activities. looking after children's care needs.
As an Apprentice Nursery Educator your role will include;
•Being part of a friendly team
•Having a group of key children, responsible for planning and completing observations via Iconnect.
•Ensuring that the safeguarding and welfare of the children is paramount in the room at all times.
•Being aware of and complying with the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework.
•Making sure the children have a safe, fun, and great learning environment.
•Building positive relationships by engaging and interacting with the children, staff, and families
The training you will be getting
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. High House Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through High House Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise. Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
