What you will do in your working day

Key Responsibilities

  • Device Inspection and Diagnosis. Conduct thorough inspections of IT and mobile devices to determine issues and troubleshoot problems.
  • Repair and Refurbishment. Repair various IT and mobile hardware, including but not limited to, laptops, computers, smartphones, and tablets.
  • Replace defective components and perform software repairs or updates as needed.
  • Customer Support. Provide technical support and guidance to users ensuring an optimal customer experience. 
  • Manage customer inquiries related to repair status, technical issues, or general information professionally.
  • Inventory Management. Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, and devices.
  • Ensure that all repairs and refurbishments are recorded appropriately in the inventory management system.
  • Continuous Learning. Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in IT and mobile technology.
  • Participate in workshops, webinars, and training to enhance technical know-how.
  • Shadow and receive hands-on tutoring from experienced experts
  • Quality Assurance. Ensure that all devices are repaired to meet the company’s quality standards and are thoroughly tested before being passed through for resale 
  • Collaboration. Work closely with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The training you will be getting

Solveway offer live-classroom learning through our on-line portal with a qualified IT Tutor. You will also have a dedicated IT work coach.

Training will be typically 1 day a week and you will be studying for the ICT Level 3 qualification on an apprenticeship.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

We are looking to offer full-time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. We believe in developing our talent internally and have a clear and personalised progression route for each of our employees which is reviewed annually.
