What you will do in your working day

Edith Rose Day Nurseries Ltd are looking for a enthusiastic candidate to start working as an apprentice within their nursery. Whether you are starting your early years career or progress further, this is the role for you!

Role description / key accountabilities:

To be trained to do the role of a qualified practitioner, contributing to a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the care of the setting.
To give support to their staff within the setting. Building working relationships with all management and staff.
To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual child can play, develop and learn.
Learning how to provide quality play and care through day to day activities with the framework of the company’s policies and procedures.

The training you will be getting

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Edith Rose Day Nurseries Ltd will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered through Edith Rose Day Nurseries Ltd’s dedicated training provider, Realise. Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.

Continuation of career progression with completion of level 2 and then 3.
