What you will do in your working day
Precision Prototypes Ltd in Wilstead, Bedfordshire are known for their quality CNC Machining, Welding and Sheet Metal Fabrication facilities which allow them to complete orders fast with superior quality. In this role you will report to the production engineer. Your job will be to operate Doosan/Hurco XYZ & Lathe machinery, upon completion of appropriate training. You will also be setting up machinery, dealing with machinery programming and offline programming through Fusion, this is a design software. You will ensure that the works areas are kept clean, tidy and organised and assist in the packaging of finished goods. As well as this you will conduct Quality Control and carry out Inspection activities to ensure a good standard. You will, in time, take recommendations to management to improve production processes, safety and quality. You will perform operations according to the Quality Management System and also perform operations according to the companies operational processes. You will ensure machine daily checks are completed prior to usage.

- Level 2 Engineering Operative - Mechanical Manufacturing Pathway - Functional Skills in English or maths if required
