What you will do in your working day

The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced team in our graphic design studio.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Learning to draw and re-draw corporate logos to make them suitable for printing in the next production stage
  • Making proofs to send to customers
  • Helping to create the artwork for production jobs

The training you will be getting

The successful candidate will be enrolled on a Level 2 Print Operative apprenticeship, specialising in pre-press techniques.

The position is based full-time in our factory and offices located in Blidworth (NG21) with training supported by an in-house mentor and an external training partner.

You will also get to learn about the other departments in the company and how they interact with the graphic design studio to ensure a first-class experience for our customers.

As well as our external customers, the graphic design team work on internal projects too, these include website design and as well as the production of marketing materials and brochures.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Following the successful completion of the Level 2 Qualification, promotion to Graphic Artist would follow.

Things to consider

The successful candidate will work as part of a busy team but will be expected to spend periods of time working under their own initiative. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with iMac computers and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop software packages.
