What you will do in your working day
You will be responsible to workshop Manager and will be using an array of Machines from:
- Lathese
- Milling
- Borers
- Drills and Saws
- Manufacturing, cast and forged valves in carbon, stainless and alloy materials
The training you will be getting
- The learner will be studying the Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification
- Diploma in engineering operations (skills)
- Day release to the NTCC
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Can progress to higher education within engineering, will do several additional courses such as Tig Welding, H&S. Job will be full time even after completion of the apprenticeship.
