CES Europe provide and service pitlane equipment to a wide range of motorsport teams. Two key areas are wheel guns and regulators which often need service/repair throughout a busy season. The apprenticeship will be trained to be skilled in both areas as well as gaining knowledge in a wide range of various pitlane equipment.

What you will do in your working day

The successful applicant will learn the processes in house to visually inspect, dismantle, check, rebuild and test a wide range of wheel guns, both pneumatic and electric.

You will also follow the same process on regulators.

The apprentice will be shown the standards expected and will be responsible for ensuring that they work in a safe and tidy environment with an end of day tidy up.

  • Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship Standard. Company Training Plan & Assessment.
    Level 2 Diploma in manufacturing - Knowledge & Skills (workplace)
  • Level 1 Functional Skills - Maths (If required)
  • Level 1 Functional Skills - English (If required)
  • End Point Assessment at the end of the apprenticeship

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • A future with CES as a wheel gun engineer, developing and testing new ideas. The chance to travel and visit teams trackside, problem solving with applications as well as helping the sales team at exhibitions.

Things to consider

Can be stood up for long periods of time and need to concentrate at all times as there is a certain amount of danger/risk when testing regulators and wheel guns if they have not been assembled correctly. College will be in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
