What you will do in your working day

  • Answering the telephone, managing the reception area, including welcoming clients and guests.
  • Managing practice correspondence, including phone calls, emails, letters, and packages.
  • Organising meeting rooms, scheduling appointments using Outlook 365 and overseeing meeting requirements for refreshments etc.
  • Filing, shredding, photocopying, and binding.
  • Updating contacts lists and telephone data.
  • Managing inventory of office supplies, including stationery and multimedia equipment to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Possibility of some bookkeeping training.

The training you will be getting

  • Upon completion, you will achieve a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard along with Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths (if required).
  • You will attend day release college sessions at National Business College (NBC) on a fortnightly basis.
  • NBC is based in the centre of Huddersfield, just a 5 minute walk from the main bus and train stations.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

We have a number of partners within the practice who need one to one administration duties completing, such as confidential financial information gathering etc. This role will have a view to progress to partners PA.
