What you will do in your working day
- Under the direction of the head of the physically disabled resource, work with individuals and small groups of children, including those on the special educational needs register, within a classroom situation to ensure each pupil has the maximum access to all learning activities
- Under the direction of teaching staff contribute strategies to support teaching and learning for securing best outcomes and promoting pupil independence
- Ensure pupils receive regular and constructive feedback with regards to their progress
- Liaise with other departments and staff as necessary to promote learning
- Assist with the supervision of pupils outside the classroom, including accompanying teaching staff on educational trips and visits
- Attend staff meetings and INSET
- Uphold and actively support the school's policies and procedures demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding of pupils
The training you will be getting
- The Teaching Assistant Level 3 (A level) Standard is delivered through live, tutor led remote training half a day a month alongside 1-1 training, reviews and guided study
- English and maths Functional Skills Level 2 if required
