You will learn all aspects of the industry during your apprenticeship, which will lead to you becoming a qualified mobile engineer.

What you will do in your working day

Duties include:-

  • Assist engineer with carrying and passing tools
  • Erect Ladders and other equipment
  • Learn to read drawings
  • Customer communication
  • Maintenance work e.g changing filters and cleaning (supervised)
  • Helping to organise the unit and van stock
  • Any other tasks that will help to support our small team.

The training you will be getting

The qualification the apprentice shall recieve at the end of the apprenticeship will be the Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard.
Day release will involve attending SBC Training in Shrewsbury one day a week.

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours – Learners and employers will have a range of options to select from that cover each knowledge module of the apprenticeship standard.

Functional Skills - These provide practical skills to help gain the most out of work, education and everyday life. Learners will complete written and online tests.

End point assessment - The End Point Assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship. It comprises written and practical tests as well as a professional dialogue and interview

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The successful applicant may have a full time position at the end of the apprenticeship.
