What you will do in your working day

Main Duties to Include:

  • To program the software of the laser and press brake in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Issue route and planning cards - set up plans, production paperwork and drawings for the operator.
  • Liaise with the laser operator and production team regarding priorities.

The training you will be getting

Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard, including Functional Skills if required.

Apprenticeship learning will take place in the workplace and day release to Rochdale Training, details to be confirmed with the Employer.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Once qualified, progression is offered to the correct candidate, this could include progressing to a higher level and ultimately being employed as a full-time member of staff.

Things to consider

This is a dual role and will require the successful candidate to work both in the workshop and in the office and you must be prepared to get your hands dirty, the role with involve heavy lifting and manual tasks, this is not a desk job!
