What you will do in your working day

Duties would include;

• Laying out cakes for sale, pasteurising milk, switching machines on etc. Ensuring fridges and consumables are stocked.
• Basic food preparation, making coffees and drinks, serving desserts.
• Table plans would be laid out, reserved tables organised, cutlery sorted.
• Meet and greet customers, seat them, give them menus, take orders, clear tables and use of the till to take payments.
• Exceptional customer service would be delivered as we have many returning customers.
• Accepting and dealing with phone calls.
• High levels of hygiene must be ensured and there will be cleaning duties at the end of the day.

The training you will be getting

  • Intermediate Level 2 Apprentice Hospitality Team Member, including NVQ and functional skills maths and English. Work based learning.

About the employer

We are a family run business with family values at our centre. We are The North West Family Business of the Year 2023. Our farm diversified into opening a farm shop in 2008. We are a busy cafe, butchers and ice cream parlour. We use the meat and milk from our farm to produce a lot of our food in our kitchen plus make our own ice cream. As much as possible the food sold in our shop is made by us. We also sell food to take out. We have recently extended our cafe seating area. We have an outside seating area and a children's play space too. We have many regular customers and cater for all ages.
