What you will do in your working day

The apprentice responsibilities include looking after children in a fun, stimulating, and caring way. Help to feed them, ensure they are clean, and carry out different activities with the children to cover their development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

• Assisting with washing and dressing the child.
• Preparing their food and help them eat.
• Getting to know the children, their needs, and interests.

The training you will be getting

During an Apprenticeship, you will combine learning on the job with off-the-job training where you’ll gain a wealth of industry-related experience and obtain an accredited Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification.

Apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework (Annex A): Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Childcare Apprenticeships really are a great route into a varied and fun career. After successfully completing the level 3 apprenticeship program, the right candidate has the opportunity to take up an advanced level in Early Years Educator Level 4, and so on to Leadership level 5.
