What you will do in your working day

Bishop & Miller is a specialist auction and valuation firm based in Stowmarket with over 20 years of experience in the Art, Antique and Auction world. We have salerooms and auction galleries in the historic market town of Stowmarket, Suffolk and Glandford in picturesque north Norfolk. Bishop & Miller holds regular fine art and antique sales, specialist auctions, no reserve auctions, and timed auctions.

We offer a nationwide service and hold regular valuation days around the country as well as house calls. Offering full service and expert guidance, whether it is a single item for valuation and auction or probate and insurance valuations. Our team of dedicated professionals are on hand to help our clients with every aspect of their auction experience. Bishop & Miller employs antique experts including auctioneers and world-renowned specialists.

Our team is not limited to the UK, with links to firms in North America, Europe and beyond this gives us a reach far beyond our physical locations. Based in two quite different East Anglian locations our salerooms offer one thing in common, a great service and a modern antique buying or selling experience.

The training you will be getting

  • The learner will be studying the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification
  • Day release to West Suffolk College
  • Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

This role could lead to becoming a porter, photographer, cataloguer, customer service specialist or even auctioneer. We are a young company keen to employ people who want to learn and to advance their careers with us.
